Safety is disappointing, but fine with the rest. Get me Darby or Verrett and I'm a happy man.

As for WR? Getting a mid level WR doesn't make sense since we have that already in Bourne. So let's either trade for someone like Green, or ride it out and wait to draft one.

Yep, I'm good with the corner. Safety really is a buzz I'll though

The wide receiver I kind of expected kearse. I think both 757 and I had brought that up in the earlier pages of the thread. Makes a lot of sense as a Z

I'm fully onboard with drafting one. Especially if a guy like AJ Brown falls to our pick in the second. I think the rookie class is more attractive than anything in free agency.

Will be interesting how much the addition of Woods will change the way we play defense and if we will mix up our coverages more. Same goes with the D-line coach who comes from a Wide-9 background. Will be interesting to see how all those styles will blend together.

Agree, and I was more intrigued by the free agent safety class than I was the rookie draft class at free safety (plus, I hate giving that kind of responsibility to a rookie).

Yeah, I would agree with that about the safety class. I think there are some interesting options, but are there true difference makers in this class if none of them are true first round prospects? Should we panic and add a body in the second or third just because we missed out on free agency options or sign a guy to a 1 year deal, see what we got from the bunch and target someone next year in the draft or FA?

I like that signing. Compliments Brown well.

I have a hard believing we are truly done minus these lower level signings. I think Shanny/Lynch got some trade they may be working on.

Problem is, that trade is probably for Gio Bernard or something.

Recent convo reminded me of this related article, so if you missed it...

Young 49ers defense is starting to grasp Saleh’s scheme, and it’s showing

Now just imagine it in 2019 with a successful LEO.

Thank you for posting.  I think so many of us have been quick to want Saleh gone forgetting how young the D is.

You spelled AJ Green wrong ;).

But really, may not even be someone on that level. Could be a lesser player. Do they double up with Griffen with a super late pick or at this point just ride it out until the draft for edge help?
