The Bills need playmakers in the worst way so I’m hoping this is a good receiving class. Haven’t paid much attention to it yet.

It's one of the best WR classes I've ever seen. So incredibly deep and there are a few superstars out there.

DK Metcalf, AJ Brown, Marquise Brown, N'Keal Harry, and Hakeem Butler are all going to be VERY good. Metcalf is the only superfreak in the group, but the other guys are all studs as well.

And then there are specialists out the wazoo. Speed guys like Diontae Johnson and Paris Campbell. Jump ball guys like Lil'Jordan Humphrey and JJ Arcega-Whiteside. Route runners like Andy Isabella and Riley Ridley. Slot demons like Greg Dortch and Hunter Renfrow.

And then there are a bunch of ht/wt/spd guys out there like Kelvin Harmon, Emmanuel Hall, Demarkus Lodge, Jamarius Way, Chase Claypool and David Sills.

This class is freaking LOADED with WR's and I expect like 15 of these guys to be major studs in the NFL.

That’s inspiring to hear. From the Bills perspective I want the best all around talent. We have Foster as our deep threat, and I still have faith in Zay Jones as a slot receiver (he’s been out of place lining up on the outside). We just signed Duke Williams, but obviously I’m tentative on that. I’d also love to grab a really good tight end. Excited to see how this all plays out.

Draft DK Metcalf and trade up for AJ Brown. Then package more picks to move up for Josh Oliver. BAM. You have a #1, a #2, a slot WR, a deep treat, and a receiving TE.

Agreed, Metcalf is incredibly underdiscussed so far. I'd add my dude Deebo Samuel to the list, he's got insane change of direction. Penny Hart also looks really intruiging as far as speedy slot guys go. Keelan Doss looks a player. Terry Mclaurin and Gary Jennings are also impressing at the Senior Bowl. Feels like new names are emerging all the time.

Some real standouts at receiver at the Shrine too. Terry Godwin had a great week and game.

Deebo is just a well rounded dude. He doesn't really fit the freak category or specialist category though. He's just a really good #2 WR prospect without a whole lot of flaws in his game.

I like the class a lot but I would disagree that there are a lot of studs.  I see great depth and a bunch of late 1st/early 2nd guys but no true stud prospects.

Metcalf - he has all the tools you want with an elite WR1 - size, speed, lateral quickness.  However, it’s hard to overlook the lack of film on him.  Furthermore, he was only asked to run rudimentary routes and struggled a good bit with drops.  While we can say that he has the quickness needed to become a good route runner, it’s still a big unknown whether he can translate that. Hard for me to put him as an elite WR prospect given those concerns.

AJ Brown - hard to put career slot WRs with speed isssues in the elite WR category.

Marquise Brown - hard to put a WR under 170lbs in the elite WR category

Harry - really struggles to separate even against poor PAC 12 CBs.  That’s a huge red flag to me.

Butler - awesome height/speed combo but he’s a one speed player and really struggles changing directions and getting his hips low.

I would include Harmon in this tier as well and he’s my WR2 right now behind Metcalf.  All of these guys have one thing they’re great at but each one has a significant flaw as well that prevents them from being a well rounded prospect.

Yeah.  I think it looks like a really deep class with a lot of quality, but i wouldn't say it's full of absolute do-it-all studs.  Metcalf is really the only one i'd say might profile as that, but he's obviously got some significant concerns between the injury/lack of snaps/underwhelming production, etc.

The NFL is becoming more and more of a league that caters to specialization though.  I think you can get "studs" that aren't entirely complete players in this day and age.  ie. In the right situation and scheme, there are plenty of guys i could see a team getting #1WRish production out of.

Lacking that bigtime headliner and can't touch 2014 as a WR class in general.  But could still be a really good one.

Does feel like the better teams spend less time in trying to find the most well-rounded receivers and focussing more on who gets open, no matter in what form that comes.

Love to read this as a Patriots fan. So naturally, Belichick won't draft a single WR.
