Is that the light at the end of the tunnel? (O.T. Thread)

Anybody ever listen to the Thomahawk podcast? I'm having a hard time getting into it despite the near constant emphasis on the Browns. Is it just me or does Joe Thomas sound kind of....dumb. He doesn't really have solid takes and comes off as a sort of OL savant. Again, he could be doing a character, but it doesn't seem that way to me.

Dumb? Nah.  He doesn’t seem to have a ton of serious takes or anything, neither does Hawkins.

It’s entertaining enough to kill time, but it’s not earth shattering content by any means.

Yeah I mean Hawkins isn't really a breath of fresh ideas or content either. I'm kind of bummed out that neither of them really give anything other than your run of the mill NFL veteran looks onto topics. The most recent episode was literally just a series of summaries of the games played. I guess the image I had in my head of JT was a lot more entertaining than what he actually is.

I've listened to a few of them.  I enjoy them mostly because they are Browns centric.  It is definitely more entertainment than informative, it sounds like a couple of old buddies talking, enjoying a conversation and cutting up a little.  I don't really have any issues with it because I didn't expect it to be an in-depth inside look of the Browns or football.

Joe is definitely a company man, he thinks everything the Browns do is great. (At least from the episodes I have listened to)

I think it sheds a positive light on Cleveland.  They both loved the city and repeatedly state that, however they have both moved since then.

the strength of the podcast last year was Joe and hawk telling nfl stories they we normally wouldn't have access to. I agree they don't have more to offer than other analysts.

Joe and Hawk toe the Browns company line, which I can't blame them for, as I think joe is on the browns pay roll still.
