Golfman
The best news of these two signings is that probably leaves little money to even think about bringing Matthews or Cobb back on feel good deals so they can stay Packers.

I would guess that the combined cap hit this year of these two guys is around $18-20m. Lots of space left

I don't think Amos cracks double digits, and if he does, I will be pretty annoyed unless Earl wasn't interested in GB

However depending on what's left in the cap after Smith/Amos, Tre Boston would be a perfect pairing with Amos. Safety problem solved.
Leader
Smith and Amos? Well cant say Gute's not focused on spots of need. Gonna help our draft situation

St Vince
Gute is also after former Patriots kick returner slash RB C. Patterson. If he signs him this will be a grand slam FA day. Addressing both defense and ST the day 2.

packfanfb
Apparently Gute likes to work in the morning. Yesterday, we were "in" on Malik Jackson around 9am and then it was radio silence the rest of the day. Today, two signings by about 9am.
vegas492
Smith is the edge that I liked best. I think he is coming on as a player. Violent. Good hands. Enough speed. Love the passion he brings. I honestly don't even care about the contract, he's a good edge and if he really does sign, we are a better team with him on it.
