He does handle double teams better still, but at some point, you have to give dj the chance to grow into this. That ankle injury completely just ruined his career and he lost out on millions of dollars. Williams was quickly emerging as one of the best NTs in the game. Would love to see him back in some coaching capacity. Do we have any interior DL coach? I know we have a pass rushing specialist coach in Kiffin. Come on Shanny/Lynch, get this man a job!! I'm with you. I'd give him a job. I guess the interior DL coach is Kocurek, with Kiffin being more of an edge guy. But if Kocurek can work with the edge guys and be good at it (making redundant and expendable, really), then having an assistant to work with the interior like Ian Williams would be great. Oh he is? Good for him then. I really don't watch any Niners stuff on NBC Bay Area anymore so I must have missed him doing his thing there.
