EAGLES3658 Posted January 3, 2018 Share Posted January 3, 2018 I think this defense needs a stud MLB. Even when Hicks was healthy this year he wasn't that good. Jeezla Posted January 3, 2018 Share Posted January 3, 2018 Gerry definitely didn't "stand up" Zeke on that play. He got put on the ground, and then Beau and the DE (Can't tell which one, maybe Means?) bring zeke down. Zeke would have kept going if not for the pursuit. It was cool Gerry put the OL on his butt, but lets not act like he isn't still a large project at this point. Hicks should replace Kendricks at WLB. Vander Esch/Draft pick should replace Hicks at MLB. And I dunno what to do with Bradham/SLB. Most likely we need 2 new starting LB's and another depth LB on top of it. Maybe "stand up" is strong for that play, but he definitely got lower than Zeke and made the first contact. He was where he needed to be. That doesn't mean he isn't still a project. Dude made a play.
