Elky
Good. He was worthless.
InBillWeTrust
As a receiver, yes, but he was an excellent blocker. Rewatch the Burkhead TD that won the game in KC in OT or the only TD in the Super Bowl. Allen made great blocks on both. That said, a blocking TE cannot make 7 million/ year. atown703
He doesn't get the credit he deserves because he's not a pass catcher. You can't take away that he is a top 5 run blocking TE
Dome
Saints need a blocking TE desperately and Payton already said they want one before the draft.

Nex_Gen
Thanks for all the blocks and limiting the cap space Dwayne. It's been real. Edited March 3, 2019 by Nex_Gen
Soko
Allen was a plus blocker, just cost way too much. He was a serviceable pass catcher in Indy, just assume he never gelled in NE enough to get more looks in the offense.
patman
Good luck to him, I hope to have him back at 2 mill, but if not thanks for the effort.

I assume the injuries caught up to him. he made a lot of his catches with athletic ability in Indy but his hands were never great.

They liked to throw the ball to the full back than to Allen Hard to figure, sometimes former great pass catching tightends, become blocking tightends in New England—they still play, but they don’t catch passes. Happened to Alge Crumpler too. Edited March 8, 2019 by nextsuperstar1
