SemperFeist
I’d probably take anything at this point for Rudolph, something in a trade is better than getting nothing for releasing him. But any deal for Rhodes or Waynes would definitely need to include a high pick in 2020.

The value of those picks, 2019 and 2020, however, has diminished. Pointing to a few late round success stories does NOT support their alleged value as a 'lottery ticket'. The league-wide-accepted NFL draft value chart, with exponentially decreasing value of successive pick positions, supports that assertion. Defense should be the focus for the last 7 (or 9?) 2019 picks, with a developmental OT drafted in round 6 or 7. Expect DT, DE, CB/S/KR/PR/ST player, OT, OLB, OG, and K today, then a boastful post-draft press conference by RTP. Terms like 'steal of the draft', and 'just the guy we wanted', 'fits our system/ what we want to do' and 'we were happy to see him available when our pick came around' will be strewn among RTP's comments and replies in the Q&A segment. Kubiak or someone else has forced RTP to face the reality that he sucks at selecting OL, WR, and QB, and that an OL in round 1 was necessary. I wonder if any of the local or nation sports media members will bring up that question (i.e. OL given high priority)? Nah! The locals will remain sycophants so they can get future interviews with RTP. Through 2 days of the draft we've definitely Reinforced The Pocket that Cousins gets to throw from. I think Irv Smith will have Kyle Riding The Pine before too long. We got a complementary back to Run The Pigskin. We still have 9 picks to Really Try Producing more quality players. But no matter what Spielman does, you're going to Remonstrate Then Protest.
RpMc
Woof... listening to KFAN this morning and the Vikings fans that are calling in are starting to sound as whiny and annoying as (not all) Packer fans... ”They passed on this guy, a sure fire starter, to trade down” ”Rick must be mentally insane” ”They could have drafted the Alabama running back at 81 instead of a nobody from Boise State” (aka SSSSSSSSEEEEEEEECCCCCC ONLY!) It would be funny if it weren’t grown men bellyaching without any substance behind their argument.

I’d bet good money that they same guys whined about McKinnon when they drafted him in the 3rd round.

RpMc
Really enjoyed reading Chase Stuart's work when he developed that a few years back.
Ozzy
I would love to have got Khalen Saunders in the 3rd but that was not possible. He could have been a steal in that 3rd round and fill a big void I feel at DT. Curious if they go with Omenihu at DE or Anthony Nelson. I would not mind Gardner-Johnson either. Gary Johnson or Chase Hansen could be options at OLB if they want to play Barr more as a DE potentially. Justin Hollins I would not mind either as a pure athlete. Gerald Willis III is around at DT or get another OL talent which is possible. Maxx Crosby as an athlete would be great also in the 4th.
