They need to kill the secondary market for vet wing defenders and shooters. Bring back McGee/Chandler or snag Dedmon to be your backup 5. Something like this but they are still probably a guy short. Idk who likely it'd be to get all those guys with their cap too. Bullock would be nice. I don't think they need Rondo. G-Patrick Beverly, Jerryd Bayless, Isaac Bonga G-Danny Green, Wayne Ellington F-LeBron James, Trevor Ariza F-Kyle Kuzma, Mo Wagner C-Anthony Davis, JaVale McGee, Tyson Chandler There's no doubt the Lakers win the title with that roster. I'm not sure how they would do all of that, though. Beverley, Ariza and Green? That would be insane.

This is on a good night for Davis and LeBron LeBron has 32 11 and 9 Davis has 30 14 and 3 blocks They are +4 when on the floor together because the other team had an off night from 3-point range The awful bench is a -12 in 13 minutes The Lakers lose 105 - 97 This might be one of the greatest dunking NBA Jam teams of all-time. Too bad you need 7 guys to win. Any significant injury to LeBron, Davis, or even Kuzma gives New Orleans a lottery pick next year. Nagging injuries to 2 of them does the same I think its best to look at them like an expansion team that traded away all its picks for a superstar and then they signed an aging superstar. They spent all their cap on 2 players so they will need to shop in the bargain bin for 5 players they will need important minutes from each. Or they can splurge on a 3rd and fill out the roster with vet minimum guys They would run away with the Big 3 league title. The NBA title? Not so much Having a rim protector allows LeBron to roam more on defense which is where he is best. By not needing to double or worry about the paint as much your wing defenders can also play tighter on their men. That's a situation that won't happen often. Stagger LeBron and AD's minutes and you'll be fine. Free agency hasn't started. We don't know who else they will sign. They could have 7 guys by then or not. They're all up their in age but who knows if they'd take a discount or not.

He needs to get his money while he can before he's forced to take the minimum.

I'm still stuck in the pre-2016 market so I legitimately have no clue what he'd cost trying to get market value.

I'd guess $8-10 million. Roughly the MLE.

So the Sixers are the favorites too because they could get Kawhi, Butler, Green, Reddick, Ariza, Seth Curry, and Beverly to play with their stars Hows that for 7 guys? They have way more cap space to do it They can resign Reddick and Butler late and go into Luxury Tax hell but the Lakers can't do that. The Sixers even have a 1st round draft pick too This pretending is fun! The Sixers don't have An aging star who sucks joy out of the locker room fires coaches trades players throws everyone under the bus My favorite was the clown with an HBO Show, ESPN's The Shop, and planning Space Jam 2 called his teammates distracted in LA A horrific state tax code 13% in LA vs 7% in Philly A befuddled ownership group who just gave up A lottery pick 2 young lottery pick players a late 1st round player 2 more first round picks for a 1-year rental who they hope stays like they hoped Dwight Howard would stay Quick, everyone run to LA because Stephen A Smith says so! Sorry, Embid is better than Davis and Simmons is like what, 15 maybe 20? Simmons and Embid should get better where as LeBron could be in free fall this year, but by the end of his Lakers deal almost for sure. Young players vs 35 year old dude with balding tires Why not play with George and Westbrook in OKC? The allure of LeBron throwing you under the bus which is stuck in LA traffic is too hard to pass up? If LA then why not have 2 stars join the Clippers and instantly leapfrog the Lakers? That way they would have 6 or 7 good teammates. Oh, I forgot, we are pretending it's 2000 and the Lakers name still means something to players. Look at all those huge free agents they brought in since Dwight Howard walked on them. FYI, they did not bring in LeBron. He picked them because he cares more about being an actor and an icon than winning at this point. Hey, I know you did not want to go to the Lakers 2 years ago, but now you can watch LeBron grow old while he takes shots at you in the press. You could also be a 3rd option in an offense run by a point forward who needs the ball constantly. Edited June 18, 2019 by SkippyX

The Sixers duo are nowhere near the Lakers.
SkippyX
27.5 13.6 3.7 1.9 coming into his own in year 4 25.9 12.0 3.9 2.4 already what he is in year 8 You can rank Davis ahead of Embiid if the tiebreaker is assists / turnovers We are talking like 4th and 5th best player or 7th vs 9th or something like that. They are very close at this point Lots of players would get an advantage over Embiid playing 65 games a year but Davis plays 67 games a year. Davis would be the safer bet over the next 10 years with Embiid's history of leg issues to start his pro career.
