You spend 20 minutes gathering wandering around resources/weapons, then either get killed by a hacker, or play a crapshot game to see who gets lucky in the final circle. I mostly hate it because it has killed COD multiplayer since Activision is pushing all their resources into Warzone, and I'm sure all the other multiplayer games will follow suit too. Even FALLOUT, the epitome of slow-paced, singleplayer gameplay, has moved to battle royale. Yeah I don’t get the appeal either, though I’ve moved on from pvp for awhile now in general. I guess I can see the enjoyment of getting real sweaty with it and finally coming out on top…. similar to like Dark Souls. I don't like it in things that weren't supposed to be BRs. If they added it in, I don't play it. That said I play the hell out of Apex Legends. Yep I have no interest in it and I’m never going to play war zone. There’s just too much time spent trying to find other people tbh. You absolutely need to have a squad to get the most enjoyment out of battle royale games. They are by far some of the most exciting multiplayer games but playing with randoms is awful. I wish they took a little more time between games, they all play so similarly.
