Leader
They're just around the corner. Good luck to fans of the Athletics, Rays & Indians as it appears this is the only undecided race and its gonna come down to the wire. OAK - 6 games left - 2 @ LAA ; 4 @ SEA TB - 5 games left - 2 w/NYY ; 3 @ TOR CLE - 6 games left - 2 @ CHW ; 2 @ WA
Slateman
Only prediction: Nationals use Strasburg, Schrerzer, and Corbin in the wild card game, just to have Wander Suero or Fernando Rodney give up the game.

Not sure thats the definition of "pretty much" TB tied 1 -1 with NYY right now. CLE clubbing CHWS. I suggest OAK keep winning.

I see that Scherzer is slated for Sunday currently. If the Brewers keep the pressure on the Nats for the top WC spot, you have to imagine he'll pitch Sunday, right? Then they'd use Strasburg for the WC game, correct?
Leader
ALWC gets tighter..... OAK holds a .5 game lead on TB for the top spot - who holds a .5 lead on CLE for the second. OAK - 5 games left - 1 @ LAA ; 4 @ SEA TB - 4 games left - 1 w/NYY ; 3 @ TOR CLE - 5 games left - 2 @ CHW ; 3 @ WA The NLWC is all over 'cept for the top dog being determined. WA holds a 1 game lead over MKE. WA - 5 games left - 2 w/PHIL ; 3 w/CLE MKE- 5 games left - 2 @ CINN ; 3 @ COL Tougher schedule nod goes to WA. The NYY & TB played a thoroughly forgettable 2-1 / 12 inning snoozer last night where 20 pitchers were used. Both teams were determined that no pitcher throw more than an inning or two. Attendance at The Trop exceeded their average, but the crowd was still small enough that not many were subjected to this boredom. The regular season HR Derby is still alive and kicking...... tom cody
Going to be interesting to see who gets the 2 AL Wild card spots. Looking at schedules Oakland and Tampa are my choices.
devils1854
Braves go undefeated in the playoffs. Acuna sets an impressive record of being the first player to go 40/40 in the playoffs.
BayRaider
Just got my A’s wildcard tickets if we do end up securing the home game (gonna be tough, Rays and Indians won’t stop winning). 11th Row and pretty pumped. Go A’s baby!! That crowd is gonna be ROCKING. Already sold out. We haven’t hosted a home playoff game since 2013 and have never hosted a win or go home wildcard game. The energy is gonna be amazing. It's certainly coming down to to the wire, but I'll tell ya I dont want the NYY to play OAK..cause those games can be..troublesome
Leader
@vikesfan89 - NYY beat writers are starting to focus on a "most likely" NYY/MN matchup in the ALDS. Wonder if the games will be like the last series in MN - when the ball was flying over the wall and pitching staffs were getting worn out - or the following (and last season) series in NY - when sanity resumed and more "normal" games took place. MN's pretty healthy right? If so, they've clearly got a shot with those bats. The NYY's are getting two of their big bats back just before (or during) the Playoffs. Hopefully nobody else gets injured (or HBP) beforehand. Good luck to you in any case. It's been a long season. Glad the second season is coming up. Getting him back would be huge especially with Buxton out. A couple other players are dinged up but should be able to play. They haven't been crushing the ball as much lately but part of that has to do with Kepler and Cron not playing much and it 2nd baseman with power basically got replaced with a contact hitter. How are the Yankees starters? Our 3rd starter might be the former Uber driver
