MKnight82
https://deadline.com/2019/09/jason-bateman-directing-clue-movie-ryan-reynolds-ozark-emmy-winner-fox-disney-1202744132/ Fresh from Sunday’s Emmy win for Best Directing in a Drama Series for Netflix’s Ozark, Jason Bateman is in early talks direct Ryan Reynolds in Clue, the live-action feature adaptation of the Hasbro board game for Fox/Disney. Bateman also plans to star in the film, though it’s early going. Bateman, who won the Emmy for the Ozark episode “Reparations,” will develop the Clue script with Reynolds, who’s producing through his Maximum Effort banner, along with Allspark Pictures, the film division of Hasbro. Reynolds made a three-year producing deal early last year off the success of the two Deadpool movies, and the studio at that time set Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the first Deadpool film, to script Clue. Some movies don't need to be remade IMO.
Calvert28
Yea don't remake this one. Don't tarnish the genius of the old one.
THE DUKE
Nothing about the first one will benefit from modern technology, leave it be. It's supposed to be a period piece, even when it was first made. I suppose you could make it set in modern day, but a whole lot would have to change because of modern conveniences.
RamRod
I'm down for another whodunit. Knives Out is probably my most anticipated movie the rest of the year.
StLunatic88
I absolutely LOVE Clue. But nothing about it is sacred. This isnt The Godfather here. If anything it will shine a light on the original, because not nearly enough people have seen it. Im not sure how this movie hasnt been remade every 10 years. Its such a great formula, and you can get some great people to do it. Especially if its on a small budget, forcing them to get creative, using the skills of great improv actors, and this should be an easy hit

That's a bummer. You're in for a lot of force fed politics.

Like musical actors its a dying skillset in todays entertainment industry.

It wont be like the original, but they could for sure do something cool with a new take on it. I think it would be hilarious if they had a Yvette character, and Reynolds convinced Blake Lively to do it
D82
If Reynolds is in it...might be worth a watch. Still, think it shouldn't be remade.
MacReady
I just wish more times movies would make equals. Not a sequel, not a prequel, not a remake, but an equal. Make this movie take place at the exact same time as the original, but in a different mansion.
devils1854
No reason not to remake this movie. Dont give me that boo hoo BS. Clue is not a classic. Its a cute little 80s movie that has its little piece in film history, but its based on a board game, which has multiple endings. With the right people, this should absolutely be redone.
