Do you remember playing them twice? Do you remember the only team to beat the undefeated Patriots in 2007? I don't know how anyone can use DL and overkill in the same sentence. I'll take 6 All Pros there.

Shanedorf
The Packers had very talented DL in 1996 when they won a Super Bowl The Packers had a very talented DL in 2010 when they won a Super Bowl Both were considered strengths of those teams - seems like a winning strategy

GB mostly sucked for 2 years and did not gain a competent DL. This mock team now does.

KC may have established an outlier to the theory this year by winning it all with a less than extraordinary DL - but if a team can build a good one, it can become the bedrock of the defense for years. We've had a relatively short window of sucking and elevated draft picks. Our D had a lot of holes and thin areas (a lot on the back end) - that our focus was elsewhere. Paired with the usual FA reticence and less than astounding drafting.....puts us where we are now. If your front 3-4-5 can bring it - good things can happen. Hopefully it will be addressed this offseason cause the foundation is there.

The 1996 team was before my time but the 2010 team also had a very talented offence and Rodgers in his peak. The offence in this mock team looks as things stand like a train wreck. There seems to be a huge reliance on the draft but its unrealistic to expect more than 50% of picks to work out and of those that do , many wont be that effective in the first year. You have to budget for some flops in there.
