While it is great news that Darnold shows his knowledge his behavior is bad.  You can't walk away from the group when HC is addressing because it creates some bad visual picture as the whole team.  As a leader of the group, once you are with the group you stay with the group until it is done.  Who cares if he knows something more than the rest of the group.  On the field and sideline, Darnold should always be with the group when HC is addressing about plays. Darnold can be excluded from the group when specific unit is warranted to be addressed on such as OL, WR, a bonehead player, etc.

I think you missed the point of that quote.

We need Mims healthy. Starting Smith at WR is embarrassing quite frankly. Mims missing these reps hurts.

Why is starting a guy with size, speed and experience in the system embarrassing?

Agreed Mims missing reps hurts but we still need guys who are familiar out there with Sam especially early.

to be fair this whole WR group is embarassing.  Perriman is our #1?  i'm sure everyone has called him a bust before his season last year.

Very true, I agree with you on Smith.. You made a smart move not coming down to Orlando now, every day the temperature is 95 to 97 degrees with very high humidity, plus you have to ware masks all the time down here. March starts our great weather, and maybe by than the Corona virus will calm down.

Perriman isn’t our #1, Crowder is. Not that it’s amazing but he’s one of the best slot receivers in the league and has good chemistry with Sam.

We have probably the worst offensive skill positions of any team in the league, bottom 3 for sure. One injury away from a mess

You shouldn’t talk like that. You’ll speak things into existence.

Oh wait.

Bc his skill set isn’t nfl starting caliber. Just bc he knows the system and has some nice tools bc DT talked him up. Doesn’t make him a legit starting WR. He has no business being a starter in the nfl. He’s a decent depth guy. But shouldn’t start.
