Where the hell are the Charger fans at the game???

There are three answers, all of them are correct (and really, none of them are excusable):

1) In the cabanas (yes, they actually have those at StubHub and they're the first thing to sell out because they keep you out of the direct sun with a still-good view)

2) In San Diego

3) Sitting embarrassed at home because no one other than a traveling away fan wants to pay $100+ to sit in the nosebleeds (cheapest seat at StubHub is $78).

Yup.  Other issue is (and I'm sure this is an issue in other large metros too, but in LA it's especially an issue) that this game actually is a sellout, but that's because a solid 1/3 of the season tickets (and that's a conservative estimate) were bought up by ticket resale companies who don't discriminate who they sell to and often tack on an extra mark-up themselves, thus making it to where locals just simply aren't going to want to pay out the nose to see a losing team.  And the Spanoses wouldn't know a grassroots marketing campaign if it was the size of King Kong and smashed them over the head with a dump truck.  Aside from the Fight for LA hashtag and ads - and a brief period of giving away free merch - they haven't done squat to spur interest or loyalty to the team in the area.  Legitimately, LAFC is kicking their butts in terms of ability to generate interest and LAFC has a whole 2 players on their roster right now.
