You are testing my memory here a bit, but the beginning of the story is them making the monster. The middle of the story is about how the monster gets abandoned and tries to fit in with the village, who finds him repulsive. He eventually moves in with a blind family that educates him. And the end of the story is about the monster killing Victors family (bride and brother I think) and victor running away and dying. IIRC the monster than kills himself out of guilt.
