College Football and Draft Discussion 2024

I’m going to add WR to list of top needs if nobody steps up this year.

Obviously Tillman is a rookie so he gets a pass. However, everybody else has been dog crap outside of Cooper.

Is it scheme? Possibly. However, Berry some how consistently whiffs on this position despite the insane talent that comes in every year.

However, I think it’s just guys not being good.

Cooper has thrived here and everywhere else regardless of who the quarterback is.

Moore sucked in NY and sucks here.

DPJ underachieved in college and has been inconsistent here.

Njoku was inconsistent in college and here.

I am going to go with personnel as the issue. This is what happens when you ignore the position going back to the Ray Farmer and beyond days.

And now we have a quarterback who quit and zero draft capital.

Buckle up guys, gonna get ugly.

Stanford did an amazing job tonight of slowly chipping away against Colorado. You can make a comeback no matter the score in the 1st half as long as you just methodically figure out what can “work” for your team. It can be a matchup or a scheme exploitation.

Just get something positive going and don’t get overwhelmed. Then you go from there.

Stanford was down 29-0 at one point.

Excellent points

Point 1 just because they did not live up

To there draft status does not mean you cut them.

There is a excellent chance that dpj

Gets obj (  the mouth) money thus getting more draft capital.

This draft is loaded with what we need so we can get 2 top 64 wr right out the box.

We have 1 tackle that is serviceable so let's sign the best tackle available.

Really tough picking the playoff teams. It’s looking like:

1. Georgia

2. Winner of Michigan / Penn State / Ohio State

3. PAC 12 winner

4. FSU vs UNC

With Oklahoma being left out.

Georgia I’m sure is going to be there in the end but man, they really don’t play anybody this year. They don’t even have remotely the  opportunities to trip up the other teams do.

They are the two time defending champs so I get the ranking, but if we are just basing things off of this year they would be like 5th in the polls.

Well, we’re gonna need some OL and maybe a S and perhaps a RB so that works for me.

The guys I have watched a lot of and would love to add would be:

1. Tyler Van Dyke QB
-as a later in the draft backup, I love his skillset. Big arm, tough, sturdy, and built to play in the NFL.

2. Kamren Kinchens S
-another Miami guy, but pretty clearly S1 in the class. If he’s there in the 2nd, jump! He isn’t a great athlete so I could see a bit of a slide. That said, the dude can do it all.

3. Keon Coleman WR
-absolute stud. Big and fast with a tremendous catch radius. Greg Little with great hands.

4. Brandon Dorlus DT/DE
-absolute monster with a frame similar to Chris Jones. Crazy potential and while not necessarily a huge need, he may be BPA if he’s there.

Why am I not surprised to see a couple of Miami U guys?

They have legit talent on their roster finally.

Tyler Van Dyke QB (round 3-5)

Colbie Young WR (round 2-4)

Xavier Restrepo WR (round 4-6)

Zion Nelson OT (round 2-5)

Javion Cohen OG (round 3-4)

Matt Lee C (round 5-7)

Leonard Taylor DT/DE (round 1-2)

Francisco Mauigoa MLB (round 5-6)

Kamren Kinchens FS (round 1)

James Williams SS (round 1-2)

Anders Borregales K (round 7-udfa)

Plus a lot of young guys that will eventually go very high.
