Knives out was unspectacular. Kinda felt like the Bayou murder episode of the office in some ways.  Ready or Not was considerably better az I thought they were similar

i liked them both

Ready or Not was my favorite movie of 2019 though, so i agree with you there

The Firm with Tom Cruise

Just noticed it was on Netflix again

Even in this movie we get a Tom Cruise running scene!  Amazing.  It's like every movie he's in, it happens!

The Vast of Night was... I don’t know what to say.  I enjoyed it.  I wouldn’t recommend it because I know most people wouldn’t like it, but I thought it was great.

I personally loved it. The ending was, in a way, chilling. Perfect slow burn movie IMO.

EDIT - That includes the scene in the car btw.

It was a nice little gem. Slow, simple but captivating. Also has one of the best single shot scenes I have ever seen.

Yep, it reminded me a lot of everything I love about Stranger Things before Stranger Things took off and kinda got a bit ahead of itself thinking it had to up the ante every season.

Character oriented, outstanding dialogue, great acting, and a fun kind of whimsical eeriness all taking place in a small town with ordinary people facing extraordinary events.

Not one that I will rewatch too many times, but definitely one I will own just to add to my collection.

Will be keeping a close eye on Andrew Patterson henceforth.  90% confident he's going to be the next big director.
