31. Jaelen Phillips, DE Miami - I really wanted to go OL, but anyone available would have been a reach in a deep class.

63. Josh Myers, OC Ohio State - Until we actually re-sign Reiter, we don't have an OC on the roster.

94. James Hudson, OT/G Cincinnati - Competes to start/6th man. He likely needs a year or two to develop into a full time starter.

135. Joshuah Bledsoe, S Missouri - Competes to take over Sorensen's role on D and ST; assuming Sorensen isn't re-signed for cap reasons.

174. Josh Imatorbhebhe, WR Illinois - Takes on Watkin's role. Ideally, we re-sign Pringle for that and Imatorbhebhe is depth.

176. Jermar Jefferson, RB Oregon State - Dam Williams is likely a cap casualty and Dar Williams is a FA. He's an instant upgrade at RB2 over Thompson and should get plenty of touches.

180. Kelvin Joseph, CB Kentucky - Developmental guy who can play ST.

212. Tamorrion Terry, WR Florida State - Scary Terry keeps dropping in mocks and I don't see this actually happening. I think he goes as high as the 2nd round. I've linked to some highlights before, but go ahead and watch some more.

I wish I could have drafted a LB, but the only time it made sense was at 63. I chose Myers over McGrone. Any other time would have been a clear reach for need or a lateral move at best. I think protecting Mahomes should be the priority and I went that route.

May I suggest Drake Jackson, C, Kentucky ?? Not as expensive

He's on my watch list as well. In this one I got the goods early. Radunz' star is fading, but he's still good at #63. I am not thrilled with the options at #94. Surratt is OK. Other Surratt is a steal. I couldn't pass Slaton in the 5th. He's a Nnadi type, but he's probably worth a 4th.

31: R1 P31 C Creed Humphrey - Oklahoma
63: R2 P31 OT Dillon Radunz - North Dakota State
94: R3 P30 WR Sage Surratt - Wake Forest
135: R4 P31 LB Chazz Surratt - North Carolina
143: R4 P39 TE Kenny Yeboah - Ole Miss
175: R5 P31 DL Tedarrell Slaton - Florida
179: R5 P35 S Caden Sterns - Texas

Where do the squirrely pick numbers come from? You should have two 4ths not three 5ths.

I would not be happy with that draft. Back to back LB seems excessive. Then a CB when OL/WR/TE needs are not addressed.

J

Comp picks aren’t official yet. I’m guessing that’s the issue.

How our 2nd rank on defense was abused in the SB was obscene. CB may need to address Bashaud Breeland. He was schooled repeatedly.

WR was addressed. Finally, OT was addressed. Although not as highly as we both wanted. But you love Fisher and Niang so what's the big deal?

Collins, McGrone and Gay at LB would be a stunning turnaround for our 2nd level defense.

Id agree 2 early LB’s is probably overkill. I like both players,  but we play so many packages with only 2 LB’s on the field.

Out of necessity and need or by choice? You fail to stop the run with DB's. It's simply a battle of inertia and LB's win over DB's

Considering 95% of the league runs 2 LB packages over 50% of the time.. I’m gonna guess by choice.   LB’s have less flexibility in coverage schemes.  I’m  all for upgrading LB’s,  but 2 is overkill.    Our failure to stop the run is as much we don’t care,  as our players.   We stop the run when we want to
