So. rumors at the combine are that Boston is the "most attractive offer" for AD IF AD doesn't want to stay.  I wonder what that "offer is"

Boston would have DAVIS HORFORD HAYWARD up front with Kyrie and J Brown. 

and still the 18th and 22nd pick this year for depth.

Rozier, Smart and Tatum gone would certainly help team chemistry,

Fine, they Boston keeps 14. Reports are Pels won't deal with LAL, so don't over bid. The fact that they are getting a 20 YO potential star, which has greater upside than anyone else available to team with Zion gives Boston a huge edge IMO.

I would trade Smart and Tatum after this season in a heartbeat for AD on a new contract. Please.

Conservative approach:

Let Kyrie walk, Rozier walk, Morris walk, and hold onto all your assets in any trade scenario.

Sign Ricky Rubio or a player of similar quality such as Darren Collison to play point guard. Try to recruit another big like Brook Lopez that has the ability to start.

Add some depth in the draft and plan for the future. Stick with Brad Stevens.

 

Aggressive approach:

Re-sign Kyrie, sign Kevin Durant, trade all young assets and draft picks for Anthony Davis. Plan for AD to re-sign.

Whatever money is left goes to the bench. More than likely four of the following players are gone in the AD trade alone, (with the rest likely being dealt for Durant in a sign/trade): Jason Tatum, Marcus Smart, Gordon Hayward, Al Horford, Robert Williams, Jaylen Brown.

Odds are Morris, Baynes, Rozier, Theis and others don't return either. High potential for Brad Stevens to be replaced by a "star players coach" with championship experience like Ty Lue, (previously served under Doc Rivers on the Celtics and coached Kyrie on the Cavs).

I wonder what player Boston hopes to get at 14 or even trade up for. If they trade for AD then they will definitely need a wing prospect, if not a PF with some skill. Just seems strange that Danny Ainge did not/could not make the actually combine. He makes the big decisions.

the player I was hoping before to slip to 14 for Boston was Bol Bol, but not weighing 208. Still intrigued at 20 and 24. But Sekou Doumbouya is now my HOPE pick. I love his versatility and upside.

That's already been debunked by Gayle Benson herself.  So we can let that stupid media rumor die.  The Pelicans are going to take the best offer, whether it come from the Lakers, Celtics, or someone else.

That doesn't mean it can't be true. She may just be politicking. Either way, I can't wait for the offseason to official start.

That's my point.  The fact that people are using an unverified quote from an anonymous source as any sort of proof is ridiculous.
