minutemancl
Davis Webb is playing the Alex Tanney role. Remember what Eli said Davis used to do for him when Davis was a rookie? He would prepare binders on opponents and their tendencies. He carried that over and did it for Josh Allen in Buffalo as well. He's a QB coach in waiting, whether it is here or elsewhere. Dragon isn't really here to play, he's here to coach from a player's perspective.
minutemancl
Quote While not mentioning specifics, Schoen noted that adding high-leverage positions -- quarterbacks, edge rushers, offensive tackles -- in the first round brings added economic benefit given the five years of club control involved. "When you're paying that premium and you can get a player that's cost-controlled for four to five years -- if it's a first-rounder, five years if you do the fifth-year option -- I think you have to look at that from an economic standpoint when you're trying to build a team," Schoen said. https://www.nfl.com/news/giants-gm-joe-schoen-wants-as-many-at-bats-as-you-can-get-in-2022-nfl-draft Huge. Schoen is a big believer in positional value and importance. We won't be drafting a RB second overall under him.
y*so*blu
Webb knows the system and won't sniff a starting job unless something goes very wrong, so I'm okay with that signing. Quinn was here for 15 years and I'm still not sure what he actually did.

y*so*blu
I'll say one thing for the Super Bowl: it ended with Eli Apple being humiliated. No matter what side you're on, this is a good thing. Congrats to OBJ for getting a ring, and I wish him a successful recovery.
Kip Smithers
This is a big FU to the organisation and even more so to the NY media.

Yes, but that’s not new information. Players play better with better players around them. Always been the case. And I’m not sure how it’s a slap to the media. There was a narrative that he was selfish and only cared about that stats and all that other drivel about him as a teammate.

It may have played a small part, but it’s OBJ and an incompetent team. The media does their job.
