Not a bad option Just checked FA TY is out there, probably don't want to pay Godwin, but he's there,, There are options But even if they don't get someone. They just need to develop better chemistry. It feels like he and Boykin especially are just never connecting right

Now it’s like he’s reverting back to his old ways. Hopefully it’s a mechanical issue he can clean up. But as a Bengals fan hopefully it’s permanent 😉. Lamar's been bad this year compared to the high standards he set for himself last year. Luckily a 'bad' Lamar is still more than good enough to keep an offense moving even if it's not always aesthetically pleasing. Still though this feels like a little bit of a lost year in terms of his own development. I hold a lot of that against the front office and coaching staff - they got complacent on offense, added exactly zero wrinkles on offense and loaded up on defense in the offseason, clearly banking on Lamar carrying a bunch of nobodies on offense again like he did last year. But clearly Lamar didn't really improve a lot between year 2 and 3 like he did between Year 1 and 2. Not that he was ever going to show the same amount of progression - but you'd still like to see some. Hopefully the FO actually goes out and gives him a real #1 target the way every other team with a young QB did for their guy, and maybe with a more normal offseason we get to see a better version of Lamar next year.

I’m just waiting for the inevitable big offseason spending on a tight end and a defensive back.

To be fair, we somehow got ALL the way down to just 1 TE off the street playing, after having a 3-headed monster last year and seeing Waller look like the Moss of TEs.

Move Boykin to TE and turn him into the next Waller, problem solved.

Hey don't lump the rest of the conference in with that skidmark of a division. The division leader wouldn't even be in the wildcard hunt.
