Those guys never were great pass rushers but every single one of them is producing worse than the previous years. Pretty easy to figure out why. They played on better defenses with better talent around them. This is why FA is often fools gold. The great players don't hit free agency often. The Raider signed role players on good defenses, then are shocked when they are below average on a bad defense. There is a reason smart teams don't re-sign these types. They know they can fill the roll, so let desperate teams (Raiders, Jaguars, etc.) sign them and they'll be rewarded with compensatory draft picks. I saw this and immediately thought about Kwit who had the Bears DL (Mack), Littleton had Donald, and Nassib had Suh and some pretty good LBs behind him, and Collins had Demarcus Lawrence. Hmm... Kwit has already played more snaps than he did last season with the Bears and has been called to blitz 14 times (22 last season). Littleton was averaging 61 blitzes over his last 2 seasons with the Rams and has only 32 this year. But even Morrow is blitzing way less than last year. As a team, they've blitzed more than last season but they're not fully taking advantage of the 2 FA LBs who were effective with it previously. Abram has the most blitzes on the team and no sack to show for it.

agarcia34
Will Compton on his podcast said he felt the Raiders made the right decision on letting PG go. Said it was interesting being with the Raiders said he felt like the Raiders were throwing Thair under the bus when he took over his position felt like they played the blame game. said the issue Will saw last year was the communication wasn’t where it should be and felt like PG failed to teach and show the players why he is building the scheme he has put in for the week so the players can buy in and understand. mentioned that PG playbook was to big because just on 3rd downs there were 25-30 plays just for 3rd downs and with that big of a sample it causes a lot of communication issues. He said a lot very insightful
