EaglesPeteC
Ask and your shall receive: EPC's First Round mock after 2 waves of Free Agency! This is the perfect mock and there is no ways to improve it so don't bother. 1. Jaguars- Trevor Lawrence QB- Clemson Analysis: Duh 2. Jets- Zach Wilson QB BYU Analysis: Double Duh. Although it will be interesting to see who QB 2 will be. 3. Chargers- Penei Sewell OT ORE Analysis: They traded a haul to get up here for this guy. The question? Was it worth it? 4. Falcons- Ja’Marr Chase WR LSU Analysis: Falcons trade away Julio and then fall bass ackwards into his replacement. Some guys have all the luck 5. Bengals- Rayshawn Slater G/T Northwestern Analysis: Maybe the first shocker of the draft. The gap between Slater and Sewell is closer than you might think. Slater’s G/T versatility actually makes this a really fun pick because he can help that Bengals line no matter where they need him. 6. Eagles- Justin Fields QB Ohio State Analysis: The GM traded away QB 1 and the only QB left on the roster has no interest in being there. They could not pass on Fields in this scenario. 7. Lions- Trey Lance QB NDSU Analysis: The Lions retained Kenny G and picked up JuJu, so WR is not the dire need it once was. The Lions have collected QB’s since trading Stafford but the problem is none of them are good. Don’t pass on the QB here. 8. Panthers- Caleb Farley CB VT Analysis: The Panthers cry and wet themselves when the QB’s get snatched right out from under their noses. Getting a legit CB 1 is their consolation prize. 9. Lions- Christian Darrisaw OT VT Analysis: They got their QB now it’s time to protect him. The Lions are lacking at RT. Big V isn’t a reliable starter. Lock down that offensive line. 10. Cowboys- Patrick Surtain CB Alabama Analysis: The chalk pick for the Boys but it makes too much sense here. 11. Giants- DeVonta Smith WR Alabama Analysis: With the Dolphins trading down and the Eagles and Lions both going QB the Giants fall right into the Heisman trophy winner. 12. 49ers- Alijiah Vera Tucker G USC Analysis: The 49ers identity is the running game and they need an upgrade in the interior of that line and AVT is there for the taking. 13. Dolphins- Jalen Waddle WR Alabama Analysis: The Dolphins work the board and get one of the top 3 WR’s and probably the one that makes the most sense for their need in the offense. Score for them 14. Vikings- Kwiti Paye EDGE Michigan Analysis: Paye just makes too much sense to fill the void left by Everson Griffin 15. Falcons- Gregory Roussou EDGE Miami Analysis: With the extra pick, the Falcons grab the pass rusher they desperately need 16. Cardinals- Kyle Pitts TE Florida Analysis: Kyler Murray just messed himself. Adding Pitts to an offense with Hopkins was just too good to pass up. 17. Raiders- Samuel Cosmi T Texas Analysis: The Raiders don’t have a starting caliber tackle on the roster. Cosmi would step in and immediately be the best pass blocker on the team. 18. Dolphins- Micah Parsons LB PSU Analysis: The Dolphins continue to clean up in this mock and grab the falling Parsons. 19. Washington- Mac Jones QB Alabama Analysis: Washington can’t go into the season thinking Kyle Allen and Tyler Heineke are their answer at QB. 20. Bears- Jalen Mayfield G/T- Michigan Analysis: The Bears wept and/or were just saved from themselves. With no QB to take, they beef up the o-line which is desperately needed. Maybe they trade with the Eagles instead of making this pick…. 21. Colts- Jaycee Horn CB South Carolina Analysis: Again, no QB and a trade with Philly for Wentz could make sense. No trades in this mock so they get a quality CB in Horn. 22. Titans- Joseph Ossai EDGE Texas Analysis: Ossai is a great fit for the Titans who need EDGE opposite of Landry badly 23. Jets- Azeez Ojulari EDGE Georgia Analysis: The Jets have no pass rush juice so they grab someone they hope can bring some. Azeez has all the tools to be that guy. 24. Steelers- Alex Leatherwood OT Alabama Analysis: The Steelers just hemorrhaged offensive line this offseason, so they are happy to take Leatherwood here and find him a home on their offensive line 25. Jaguars- Jeremiah Owusu Korahmoa LB ND Analysis: I didn’t see an obvious player the Jags need for value here so grabbing an athletic defensive chess piece like JOK gives them the most bang for their buck. 26. Saints- Terrance Marshall WR LSU Analysis: Another team that should call up Philadelphia with this pick, but instead they get a WR 2 to go opposite of Michael Thomas 27. Ravens- Rashod Bateman WR Minnesota Analysis: Perfect scenario for the Ravens. Their offense needs a physical WR to go with Hollywood Brown 28. Saints- Eric Stokes CB Georgia Analysis: After trading away Lattimore, the Saints have to start over at CB. 29. Packers- Kadarius Tony WR Florida Analysis: I almost went with Najee Harris here or Zaven Collins but after an MVP season, they get ARod a running make for Davante with an electric playmaker in Tony 30. Bills- Najee Harris RB Alabama Analysis: The Bills might have bigger needs but they can’t pass this up. Adding the physical running of Harris to this offense helps the see if they can overtake the Chiefs next season 31. Chiefs- Teven Jenkins T Oklahoma St. Analysis: It would be criminal to let Mahomes go into the season with the tackles that are currently on the roster. Jenkins is a riser, don’t be shocked if he is a first round IRL 32. Bucs- Zaven Collins LB BYU Analysis: One of the Bucs hallmarks of this Super Bowl was getting elite ILB play. Lavonte David leaves via free agency and they snag his replacement and could have one of the best young LB duos in the game.
