The only reasons why people are reacting to it is because 1. it's the Patriots, and 2. because it was an extremely quick play.

Your arrogance is astounding.  It couldn't possible be that people believe that the burden of proof to OVERTURN the call on the field wasn't met.  No, it's clearly just Patriots hate.  xD

Nothing you are saying is relevant at all.  I already conceded it was iffy if it was conclusive, and I even made the caveat as long as you believe it's conclusive which the office did.

No, the angle looking at the play from the end-zone you and the broadcasters in your opinions thinks it was conclusive.    Unfortunately neither of those matter when it comes to the official ruling.  It's not just when the ball goes into your arm and is still.  You have to establish control.  That's the official ruling, right or wrong.

It's why when there are huge scrums for fumbles they don't just give the ball to the person who gets their hand on it first.   You have to ESTABLISH CONTROL.  Not just have it in your grasp.   Again using that example, otherwise, oftentimes one person would have a hand on a ball, technically be down by contact if you say they have ESTABLISHED CONTROL, and it would be easy to sort out with replay.  But it's not.  It's who ever comes out of it with ESTABLISHED CONTROL of the ball.  They do that to avoid close judgement calls where it's not obvious.  Unless it's obvious that the player has ESTABLISHED CONTROL then they don't have control at all.

Except that the burden of proof was on them to determine he very clear DIDN'T establish control, not that he might not have had control.  It was ruled a TD on the field, there had to be irrefutable proof that he absolutely did not have control.  They don't have that.  And you literally cannot prove that.

Hmm, could have sworn it said 17 points. Maybe I'll rewatch it :D

For real though, if you really want to use a game where you allowed 400+ yards to the Jets as a game to prop up your defense, there's probably some problems there.

Leave us alone, we are enjoying an inter-division win.
