If's, excuses and cherry picked stats so you can convince yourself this team is not a dumpster fire....  All straight nonsense

If you change the outcome on 3 plays we finish 11-5, that's the reality of it despite having a terrible defense, lol.

Reality is we went 8 and 8.  That is reality so quit living in fantasy land.

Also you should let the Chiefs and Bills, the two teams that averaged 30 ppg and played in the AFC title game, that they need big WR's to be good.

The Chiefs 3 leading WR's last season: Tyreek Hill (5'8" 185), Mecole Hardman (5'10" 185), DeMarcus Robinson (6'1" 200)

The Bills 3 leading WR's last season: Stefon Diggs (6'0" 190), Cole Beasley (5'8" 175), Gabriel Davis (6'2" 215)

I don't think they understand you need a big WR to be a good team or offense, let em know.

Hill and Diggs are top 7 WR's in the NFL who are quick, fast, technical and have elite hands.  Are you implying that Ruggs is on the same level as them?

Those teams also had decent D's and Qb's who extend plays with their legs allowing the smaller WR's more time to run free.  Carr is a pocket passer with some mobility but not on the level of PM or JA.  Once again cherry picked, worthless stats with no context.

If Abram doesn't abandon his coverage to come tackle Mahomes on the last play we beat the Chiefs.

If Mariota doesn't throw an interception late against the Chargers, we kick the FG and we beat them.

If Key/Arnette don't completely crap the bed with 17 seconds left, we beat the Dolphins

3 plays to go from 8-8 to 11-5 last season,

I think this team could be worse then last year.  Last year we had a lot of injuries but that happens almost every year.  Imagine if Hankins and Mullen go down.  Ritchie could very easily get hurt again with his age.  We could have easily lost to the Panthers, Chargers, and Broncos.  Probably would have lost to the Browns but mother nature was on our side and we really should have lost to the Jets.

That's why football is a game of inches. Look at the progression Carr made between year 2/3 in Gruden's system despite our OL being banged up all year and an unproven group of WR.

So you agree, the difference is those teams have very good QB's and we don't. Glad to see you've finally accepted that Carr isn't very good.

Exactly. The OL was a revolving door last year, we had almost no rookie contribution, and Jacobs was banged up. And we had a historically bad defense with an incompetent coordinator and we still went 8-8 with a chance for more.

I don't see doom and gloom yet. Not at all.

The only thing that makes a QB good is mobility?  You cant be serious.

Maybe you'd like to explain that to Drew Brees, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Joe Montana, Peyton manning or last years SB winner who beat Mahomes Tom Brady.

This is a serious question.  How long have you been watching football?

Guys can we not do this.

I don't understand the optimism.  20 years for dumpster fires, 40 million in money to spend in Fa with very little overall impact made on this team yet this is the year.

I just don't get it...

We put up 71 points in our two games against the Chiefs and easily could've beaten them twice. But us losing Hudson guarantees that we're a 6 win team.

Free agency isn't over and the draft hasn't taken place yet. We don't even have the full picture of what the team will be next season.
