With the way these franchises looked not too long ago you'd think the Cubs would be buying from the Giants. Flags fly forever and all, but sheesh, the way this core of young talent was squandered is insane. Russell is out of the league, Contreras, Bryant, Baez, Almora, Schwarber, Happ, and Rizzo either declined pretty rapidly or failed to improve. That Quintana trade really hurt them too.
