Used Fanspeak with difficult setting and random big boards. Mac Jones was still on the board at 14 and the Bears offered #'s 20 in both the 1st and 2nd. I made no other trades:

#1-20 - Christian Darrisaw OT VTU

#2-20 - Landon Dickerson IOL Bama

#3-14 - Richard LeCounte S Georgia

#3-26 - Jay Tufele DT USC

#4-14 - Jordan Smith Edge UAB

#4-20 - Anthony Schwartz WR Auburn

#4-29 - Thomas Graham Jr. CB Oregon

#4-38 - Stevie Scott III RB Indiana

#5-13 - Brady White QB Memphis

#5-24 - Dazz Newsome WR N. Carolina

#6-15 - Nick Eubanks TE Michigan

Blow it up!

Isn't 2 WRs overkill? Chances are there is only one spot to fight for. Thielen, Jefferson, Johnson and Beebe should be pretty secure.

I love the trade though.

Newsome would probably offer more returner ability than Schwartz.

I like the trade with the Bears AND getting Darrisaw and Dickerson!  I'd be happy camper with just those results and the rest of the draft just let my grandson pick!!!  😉

I couldn't find a trade I liked at 14, and in this PFN Mock Simulator, Pitts was available (of course he won't be in reality). So I added perhaps the best player in the draft and a guy who will be a matchup nightmare from Day 1.

In the third round I doubled down on OL in hopes that I'd find at least one starter, and possibly two.

I added a couple of DL projects that could pay big dividends if they live up to their potential. I added a project QB to sit behind Cousins for a year or two, and I revamped our Special Teams with one of the top kickers and one of the top returnmen (Dazz Newsome) in the Draft.

SKOL!!! RIP IT UP!!!

I know Pitts is highly regarded, but it's a luxury pick for the Vikes with Irv Smith set to take on the starting role.  If Pitts were the guy, do you trade Smith?  Would either be happy in 2 TE sets?

I like your end of draft choices...particularly Newsome.

Good work wcblack, however I tend to agree with VV about Pitts. I am hoping we add a late round TE as a 3rd stringer. Why 2 corners, are you assuming Gladney will be cut or incarcerated? The precedent for domestic 1st offenders in the NFL is a short suspension, 3 or 4 games. I'm not implying that I agree with that precedent because I don't, but it is what it is.

The corners were just the way the board fell in the simulation. Better positional value.

Pitts would definitely be a luxury pick. But Pitts fills our need for a 3rd WR, basically. Irv and Pitts would be the best TE duo in the game. Our version of Gronk and Hernandez. I don't think that would be a bad thing.

Pitts would be such an intriguing weapon.

- Line him up on the line in true 12 personnel
- Put him in motion off the line
- Line him up in the slot
- Line him up outside at WR, and kick Thielen into the slot.

You could literally keep the same 11 players out on the field on almost every play and call the formation based on the personnel that the defense has on the field. You’d put a lot of pressure on the defense, and preventing them from subbing.
