Newsome - another china doll to add to our CB room Farley - liked him a lot until I read into the back surgeries...back injuries generally do not get better Collins - doesn't fit what we apparently want to do at all Phillips - let him go make music Bateman - nice, safe unexciting pick Oweh - been burned once to often with Penn State DL Good post Bruce, im with you on a lot of these. Oweh scares me because he is a combine darling with thats on field-production does not match. Run. Far away. Farley is great, but another team can gamble, our DBs are already made out of glass--we dont need to add another guy who is going to miss games.
nugpimpen
What's wrong with a nice safe unexciting pick? At 26 sounds like a winner. We aren't top 10 anymore. Just hitting a double on a guy at 26 would make me happy. Bateman would be good and replace obj at a quarter of the price. Sign me up.

Nice and safe is exactly what every first rounder should be.

You and I like a lot from the same guys. And football players too it seems.

It's all speculation to outsiders like us.
NudeTayne
All the edge have big question marks-- Phillips: major injuries Rousseau: average athleticism, unorthodox way of getting sacks, bend? Oweh: Tarzan? Paye: master of? Tryon: does anyone actually see a first rounder? Not much great tape. Ojulari: size at 6'2" (though very long arms), pass rush moves Collins: what position? Master of? Turner: lack of elite pass rush, late riser, more a 2nd-3rd? Perkins: size/scheme, character issues(?) Do we just trade down for one of these guys or ignore the position until at least miss-2nd trade-up territory? I don't see a clear deliberation between tiers with all these guys. Personally I think our FO would like Ojulari, Collins (trade-down?), Oweh in the second, Turner in the 2nd, Perkins in the 2nd.
