He was one of the few blue chip guys outside of the WR and QB, along with Sewell and (purely talent) Parsons imo. Also, we didn't take a Slater, who is good but would have been the fifth tackle taken last year. But so gut wrenching to pass on Fields. At 2.40, you’re probably choosing between Stokes and Campbell, who are fine! But probably not top 50 guys. And then after them, I’ve got a steep cliff. If your guy is there you take them. Denver clearly likes Lock more than Fields/Jones or has something in the works for Rodgers this year. I think that's why they stayed put. Adding who many feel was the best CB in college to your roster ain't bad, especially when you're facing some great QB's in your own division twice a year.
