Well, if the charges weren't officially filed until April 30, then it's hard to fault them for not knowing. They would have needed to have a background checker look into it between the time they were filed on April 30 and when he was drafted on May 1. Until the charges are filed, there's no paperwork trail, and therefore no way for them to know unless they were vetting him specifically. And given that he was a fourth round pick, he probably wasn't nearly as scrutinized as players higher on the BB. Espcially when that info came out in a searchable way in the middle of the draft. dtait93 Posted May 3, 2021 Share Posted May 3, 2021 He may not get in trouble if it can’t be proven he hit her, but the fact he said he has no problem hitting a female is probably conduct detrimental to the league in and of itself and he’ll get suspended either way. If he’s not guilty he’ll do some PR work and it’ll probably blow over fairly quickly considering he wasn’t some big name prospect everyone had their eyes on.
