That's not applicable.

If the rationale is that none of the other RBs are signed beyond this season, it was a need, which we addressed by trading up for an oft-injured reach of a RB.

I think they're really banking on home run speed. I can count on my fingers the number of backs who ran a 4.4 flat 40.

So I will say this: it seems like what a Ziegler guy did was he went and got all of the positions that usually get drafted high in FA or via trade. Then drafted the best player available positions nobody cares about draft. a wise move

It’s not an immediate need. If he develops we can save on cap space by not having to re-sign higher paid RBs. I don’t get being this upset over a RB with legit upside, In the 4th.

Not an immediate need?

If we have no RBs signed past this season, that's a pretty immediate need. But I digress.

Don't. Reach. For. Need. In. The. Draft.

You said it, not me.

The thing is alot of people here talked about Jacobs being replaceable by a 3rd or 4th round RB well that's exactly what they did. If Jacobs gets hurt. White could step right in and Drake can remain in his role.

Exactly, White is a #1 type of back which we don’t have other than Jacobs, he could easily be our starter in ‘23. Bolden is a ST guy, Drake is a complimentary back.

Wouldn’t immediate mean playing a significant role this season? Every position becomes a need at some point, draft and develop for future years so you’re not overpaying guys like Drake in FA.

I don't know. What a "need" is seems to change definition based on someone subjectively liking a pick or not. 🤷🏼‍♂️

it’s also important to note though that this guy is more talented than Josh Jacobs in every way. And while someone else may mention health issues let’s not forget Josh Jacobs was drafted in the first round and he’s slow or smaller and just as injury Prone. In a lot of ways he’s essentially a Josh Jacobs that’s more talented that we didn’t have to draft is high and doesn’t need to play right away
