He hasn't played football since high school, where he was an All-State linebacker. Apparently the Titans saw something they liked. Some athletes with wrestling experience have gone on to be good offensive linemen, so there is that, I guess.

How much can we expect from a former All American high school player who hasn’t played football in 8 years, but instead has been cultivating mass and building other skills that might be tangentially related to playing OL? Is the skill set of a wrestler something that is related to OL skills? Is this signing any more or less noteworthy than the other return player signings over the last month? Is the recent trend to give players who have been gone for a while a second chance something that, after three of them this year, will become a more regular occurrence? If it becomes a trend to use 90th roster spots on these types of players, are they going to bear fruit for any teams? I think we'll just have to wait and see with all of those. Turnobili
waste of a spot, but not a shameless publicity stunt to the degree of tebow tbh, nor is it a midlife crisis position switch Edited June 6, 2021 by Turnobili
SkippyX
Neal played in 2 games in year 1. Jordan Mailata did not play for 2 years and was a pretty good OT in year 3. My guess it has almost no impact on the Titans in year 1 and after that is TBD.

Especially as a camp body. Sometimes you take those lottery tickets over an honorable mention all conference guard from Illinois who tests as an average athlete.
