Thought it was weird when you told me before this series that Conley should be okay and good to go game 1. Hamstrings/soft tissue injuries are always tricky. Sucks all the injuries we've had this postseason, but you guys are capable of winning without him, especially at home. All you needed out of this trip was a split, so hopefully you get it tomorrow. I will be in attendance again tomorrow to root for them but man I was PISSED leaving Staples. Usually it takes about 2 weeks to recover and tomorrow will be day 12. We are but he makes such a huge impact for us on both ends and takes so much pressure off of Donovan. I understand now wanting to reaggravate it or risk a serious injury. But at the same time he's 33 years old and has made $200M over the course of his NBA career. If he's ever going to win a ring, it's likely this season. Yeah they played like a team who's season was on the line and we didn't. Leader Posted June 14, 2021 Share Posted June 14, 2021 Donovan's ankle situation and how/if it limits him or how long he can go will be critical IMO. They've shown they can win w/o Conley - but thats with Donovan balling out. He's tweaked his ankle the last two games and if he cant move well or stay in the game....Joe Ingles.....while I wish he were SG2 on the Lakers the way he can drop 3's....he's not gonna be enough.
