We likely aren’t getting top free agents but if Cade balls out, we could have had two Max’s available next year. Dropping down those spots in the second doesn’t matter. It’s worth a shot. The reason you spend the money is to let the young guys develop. Hayes and Cade are going to get 10x the benefit playing with someone like KO who can knock down shots versus the scrubs that Cade was playing with in college. As far as signing two max players, they could always do a sign-and-trade to make something work in the unlikely event that it becomes an issue.
