Why “go Jets”, yet also “go 49ers”? I want the Saints in the playoffs more than the 49ers.

I am not afraid of either. If we play either it will be at Lambeau where I especially like the odds.

Also, I want the 49ers to win to lock out the Vikings. They don't scare me either, esp. at Lambeau, but I always believe a divisional rival game and the accompanying familiarity with everything on the line is a more dangerous beast.

And honestly, I just do not like Sean Payton and the Saints.

I respect anyone who shifts that to "go Bengals: (who are kind of a fun team that is hard to dislike).

Nice to be back in the driver's seat. However, to get HFA and a bye the Packers have to win out. I just don't see any chance that the Buccs will drop one of their last 4. Living in NC I get a lot of Panthers to watch and they are so much worse than their record indicates.

No reason the Packers can't win out

@ Ravens

vs Browns

vs Vikings

@ Detroit

Bucs have a pretty easy remaining schedule

vs Saints

@Panthers

@Jets

vs Panthers

Cards tough road, they face

@ Lions

vs Colts

@ Cowboys

vs Seahawks

I don't say they can't, I just say that they have to to get the #1 seed. IMO the scariest remaining game is the Vikings game, even if it is at home. They know how to play the Packers and they are always hard to beat. Hope I'm wrong and we can eliminate the Skolsters from the playoffs to start the new year. That would be a great start to 2022.

Indeed Gravedigger, for the Vikings playing the Packers is their Super Bowl

I don't get the obsession with the #1 seed.  Didn't work for us last year.

Right now we are the team NOBODY wants to play, even as injured as we are.

I'd rather have some good fortune than the home field.

A week off and home field throughout the playoffs is good, hard earned fortune IMO.

Green Bay is currently undefeated at home. A bye week to rest an injured team. No worries around traveling/ guys can sleep in their beds.

all the big teams in the nfc are warm weather teams.

Also it didn’t help last year but have you checked Rodgers record and numbers in Tampa? I have no desire to see him try and flip the script/trend when it comes to him playing in Tampa. And the only way to insure this is to win out.

The Packers are counting on Tampa winning out so they know the task in front of them. Win it goes through Lambeau. Lose one it goes through Tampa. Not impossible, but I like our chances at Lambeau better.

But wouldn't it be sweet revenge to go to Tampa and knock them out of the playoffs in Tampa?  Maybe get an interception on a missed PI call too.

Not an obsession, just a logical desire.

With a 17 game, 18 week season, every team desires the bye. Beyond the advantage of playing at home in front of your fans, it also helps that you don't have to shorten the week of prep and practice by travel. Also a very desirable opportunity for fans to attend playoff football - something the fans of 24 franchises will not be afforded.

Like I said, hardly an obsession, but certainly a desire.
