Didn’t Brady forget a down once? Happens to the best of them but I don’t know if it was pressure, but Cousins looked out of it in the second half. Brady forgot it was 4th down last year. It’s funny when it happens but Cousins is far from the only QB who’s stepped up behind a guard. Cousins was clearly trying to get the team lined up correctly. JJ was on the wrong side of the field. Considering how cheap Alexander and Breeland were to sign, I don’t think expectations were high. The CB group is a failure and poor use of first round draft picks from 2016-2020 likely has played a role here in the lack of talent. I’m fine with Peterson as a starter if he isn’t going to ask for a big payday, but MN absolutely needs to find a shutdown CB like what they had in Rhodes during the peak Zimmer years, also need a reliable slot CB. I’m okay with Alexander as a #4 and Dantzler, Hand and Boyd competing as the #5 and #6 CBs.
