For as good as our D is, it is almost always unclutch

Gave up 16 late 4th quarter points to the Lions to make it a 1 score game. Gave up 8 points to the Eagles in the 4th to make it a 1 score game. Gave up 14 4th quarter points to the Bengals. Gave up a end of 1st half TD to the Seahawks.  Gave up a game ending FG to both the Packers & Titans. Let the Cardinals run the clock out on us in Lance's 1st start, a 7 point loss.

Other than the Niners forcing the Bengals to a FG in OT a couple of weeks ago, has our D been clutch this year?

That's just NFL defenses through and through. Titans defense allows only 10 points for 58 minutes yet allow a late TD to us...Packers allowed a late TD to us...Bengals allowed a late TD to us....Seahawks almost did as well.

Offense just has to play better and we are playing with less than ideal corners. If we had Moseley and Verrett and were allowing these late TDs, that would be one thing....But we have a rookie and Norman.

That is true, the game is slanted towards offenses in these late minute situations

Thats why i fully disagree with the rule that a team can score a TD & the game is over in OT, i think both teams should have 1 possession no matter what due to how slanted the game is against defenses in general. But i guess thats another debate for another day...

What's frustrating about this season is that we have had Bosa/Deebo healthy for the entire season for the most part. That's not always going to happen and even Kittle has been healthy minus that one stretch.

Oh well, just have to bounce back and win the next two games.

Tannehill had a YPA of 7.2 with 209 passing yards and the Titans RBs averaged 3.5 YPC. Less than 300 total yards. Defense was not perfect but some over the comments regarding the defense on social media are hilarious lol.

Defense can't hold forever. In this new modern NFL defense keep you in games, but offenses win them. This D gave the team every opportunity to put this game away early.

We'll win the next 2 games and be 10-7 and a 6th seed

And this is precisely why we're moving on from Jimmy G. The top end talent on this team is insane and the depth is fine outside of a few weak spots like CB, which can still be hidden. Yet we'll be 10-7 at best. Jimmy played too poorly for too long. He was lights out week 1 against the Lions, and from the Bears game to the Falcons game. But he ranged from nothing special at all to a complete liability from the Eagles to the Colts game and tonight, and you just can't survive that on a year to year basis

Not sure about the Rams game. Sure we have owned them and Moseley should be back for that game, but that's going to be tough.

Crazy part is we beat Seattle and Tennessee, we may be playing for the division title in week 18 lol.

Couldn't run the ball effectively against the Seahawks and Jimmy threw two INTs and we couldn't run the ball effectively today and he threw two INTs.

Hopefully Mitchell returns next week. Need him to finish the season.

Ambry Thomas allowed the one big pass but thrown at 3 times and had two PDs. Arrow is pointing up.

Ward with another strong game along with Tartt. Love those boys, hope they are able to play together for a few more seasons!

Well we didn't run that well against the Bengals either. Only had about 100 yards in 5 quarters.

Man it sucks that we dont play again until after the holidays. Gota eat Christmas, New Years, AND my birthday until another Niners game smh

Actually that is a worry with covid. NFL players being around extended family potentially. Hope we don't have issues next week.
