Ah yes, the pointless exercise of predicting which prospects will go higher IRL so they get drafted here.

Cause no one ever does that.

The difference is that we know exactly where they went when we do the PFA draft.

1.1- Gotham- Brian Asamoah LB OU

I expect Asamoah to go fairly early maybe not the highest drafted player left but a great explosive backer from Whicker’s favorite OU. Plenty of length and while only 226 he played Mike for OU and will play WLB for Gotham.

1.2- Anchorage- Khalil Shakir WR Boise State

I considered him at 7.7 and still passed on him twice. An over 11% drop percentage is a worry especially with the short arms but he is dynamic and hard to bring down with the ball in his hands. Some of the drops are concentration and if he cleans that up could be an early slot contributor something that would benefit my receiver depth.

1.3 Cancun- Rachaad White RB ASU

They have Jones and Stevenson possibly Patterson if they 3up him but White plays the game a lot like Leveon Bell just not as big. He’s a great receiver as well and his lateral cuts and patience make him a back I expect to go to a nice fit and PFA is a good place to go RB as you see what backfield they will be in and who they will be sharing carries with.

1.4 Antarctica- Martin Emerson CB Miss State

Antarctica still needs help at corner after adding an explosive yet very raw corner in Woolen. Emerson has great size and is a very willing run defender. Helps give them an outside corner.

1.5 Rome- Darrian Beavers LB Cincinnati

Beavers is a big backer who reminds me a lot of KJ Wright. Likely profiles a traditional 4-3 Sam he probably is a 4th round pick but I think he goes to a situation where he could contribute very early.

1.6 Flint- Dominique Robinson Edge Miami Ohio

Explosive bendy and raw 24 year old. However he has the physical ability to develop into a good pass rush specialist and I think he could go a lot earlier than some people might expect.

1.7 Cuba- Matthew Butler INT Tennessee

Cuba needs some interior help and they find it with the underrated Butler. He can get after the passer and stuff the run an all around player I think some teams might fall in love with.

1.8 Cuba- Kyle Phillips WR UCLA

Phillips is underrated as a slot receiver and is almost always open. Looking at the Cuba roster while they do have Rondale they could use Kyle to fill the slot role with Allen and Jefferson outside and Rondale being an offensive weapon role. Especially if Phillips goes to New England he may not be here at 1.8.

1.9 Hungary- Zach Carter INT UF

INT help with a versatile dlineman.  Carter didn’t test great at the combine and likely needs to throw on some weight but his 11.5 TFL and 7.5 sacks his senior season may get him drafted in a decent spot.

1.10 Lancaster- Rasheed Walker OT PSU

Walker has a lot of starting experience and should probably move to RT but nice depth for Lancaster after adding Neal and Penning in the draft.

1.11 Singapore- Luke Goedeke OG CMU

Played tackle at CMU but will guard in the pros. He has the potential to be an earlier starter if he lands in the right spot and gives Singapore nice guard depth here.

1.12 Lancaster- Luke Fortner C UK

Lancaster needs a center that has a shot to contribute early and Fortner may have that shot depending where he is drafted. And the Lancaster offensive line overhaul continues.

1.13 Camden- Markquese Bell S FAMU

Jlash gets his rattler. Bell has a lot of upside and potential to be a really nice safety option depending on fit. Camden hopes they can find a similar level of prospect here to Byard many moons ago.

1.14 IC- Jerome Ford RB Cincinnati

Ford will probably go earlier than this but I have him slipping here. IC needs to add more to their RB room for depth and Ford gives them that. I fully expect IC to draft whatever highest unpicked Titan is left though.

1.15 DVN- Brandon Smith LB PSU

Another team I expect to take the highest leftover player from their irl team but Smith has a lot of physical gifts if he can improve his tackling he could be very good. Some team will fall in love with his traits.

1.16 Berlin- Carson Strong QB Nevada

Why not take a third shot here. Not sure where Strong gets picked but Berlin has back to back picks here and if Strong ends up in a decent situation he might not even be here on the board.

2.1 Berlin- Smoke Monday S UCLA

Smoke is one of my favorite prospects and not just because of his name. I feel he is a player the media is lower on than the league will be. BCB likely knows more about him. He plays like Justin Simmons and while he isn’t as quick he makes plays. One INT return for a TD in each of the past three years and a nice jack of all trades piece for Berlin.

2.2 Death Valley- Chig Okonkwo TE Maryland

A player I could see go earlier he has some Jonnu Smith to his game. 238 is light but he’s a 4.52 athlete and takes hands offs/end arounds as well. Could be a versatile weapon for any offense.

2.3 Flint- Daniel Bellinger TE SDSU
2.4 Camden- Bo Melton WR Rutgers
2.5 Lancaster- Erik Ezukanma WR Texas Tech
2.6 Cancun- Neil Farrell Jr INT LSU
2.7 Ivory Coast- Romeo Doubs WR Nevada
2.8 Hungary- Chance Campbell LB Ole Miss
2.9 Cuba- Jojo Domann LB Nebraska
2.10 Gotham- Dohnovan West C ASU
2.11 Lancaster- Zamir “Zeus” White RB UGA
2.12 Rome- Tyler Allgeier RB BYU
2.13 Antarctica- JT Woods S Baylor
2.14 Singapore- Max Mitchell OT Louisiana
2.15 Anchorage- Marcus Jones Nickel Houston
2.16 Gotham- Braxton Jones OT Southern Utah

4.6 Tariq Woolen CB (4th fastest 40 time ever and is 6'4" CB who is pretty raw)

I will say this (even if no one asked), I looked over the last two PFA drafts just to get a feel. Not many obvious contributors, especially early. I mean there’s still a few names from 2020 who fully made sense to take, and yet here we are two years later and the jury is still out.

So probably a few of us overthinking this process a little bit. Not saying we can’t keep overthinking it. Just saying…
