Because if we play it your way, it’s unlikely Collins would have been our starting RT next year. But that’s a stupid way of looking at it. No free agent factors into the team’s roster until they re-sign. I’m not sure why this is beyond your comprehension. I guess there wasn’t a “stat” to address that. Mike Tannenbaum got fired because of Absolute Salary Cap Hell and replaced by a supposed financial genius John Idzik (who absolutely stunk at drafting) and then Mike Maccagnan (before Joe Douglas) also gave us awful contract after awful contract. Currently we are projected to have $22m next year + the $26m we can currently carry over. Our cap was never an issue, no matter how many times you say it is. Remember when we all told you we could have brought back anyone we wanted. In a matter of days we had over $30 million in cap space. We could have kept Amari if the team wanted too. Who cares what 2023 shows right now. It will change. How did all that kept space work out for you? No Schultz, no Cooper, no Allen Robinson, no JC Jackson.
