Looks at his feet and eyes on the deep shot to Wilson. He was NOT doing this in his first few games as his technique would get sloppy and he would panic. Not only that, but he really did not track the ball well at all. His improvement within weeks is so good to see. All he needed was some game reps and now he is getting better and better.

But I fully expect Rodgers to test him deep at least 2-3 times on Saturday. Maybe the youngster can come away with a INT?

Ward Alligator arming that int lol....

Winning veneer covers a multitude. It's like racing stripes. Makes you go fast. It'll be you winning playoff games next!

So you're saying, if we paint stripes on Jimmy, we can get a first?! Sign me up!

This is still the part of his game that probably needs the most work. If he can keep that from being a completed pass, I'm happy. The INT would just be a cherry on top lol

One area where I can see Thomas coming away with a INT is on a 3rd and long where Rodgers likes to just take those punt shots at. Tarell Brown got one in the divisional round nine years ago that way.

The first meeting we went to single high quite a bit on 3rd downs and Rodgers killed us on that. We used much more zone against the Cowboys. Will be interesting to see what Ryans goes to on money downs. Maybe use some two man to take away the deep ball but if that is the case, we will need Warner badly.

Ryans was great last week, but he will need to replicate that type of performance for us to have a chance in this game.

I'm wondering the same thing. Z.Smith hasn't played since week 1 and hasn't practiced until this week. I can't imagine he'll be out there all game long just due to conditioning.

Z probably won't have the stamina to play more than 15 or so snaps as a pass rushing specialist and going from practice speed to playoff speed is a pretty huge leap. He's a pro, so he'll give it his best- but he will be limited. Jaire Alexander has been practicing quite a bit and Bahktiari has done some work too...so those guys will be better prepared on Saturday

Yeah, and honestly with Z lining up across Trent, it doesn't really matter all that much. Jaire/Bahktiari are more important to get back and looks like both will be good to go. Clark is the one that worries me the most at the DL. Our interior is our weakness and Clark wrecked our run game in the last meeting. Granted, we didn't stretch the field as much since Mitchell didn't play and Deebo wasn't used as a RB. So maybe his impact won't be as big this time around. If it is? Game over!

Sounds like Fred is most likely going to play and seems the same could be true for Bosa. Looking forward to getting an update from the team later today.

That account is terrible lol...Those two are almost surely going to play but this guy isn't breaking any news.

Very good chance when Z is in their, hes lined up inside over the guard or center in obvious pass rushing roll, not over Trent

I doubt he plays more than 10-15 snaps if he does play. But if he lines up on the inside, what will your front look like?

Rodgers when under pressure:

  • 150 drop backs
  • 38.4% CMP%
  • 570 Yrds / 8 TDs / 3 Ints
  • 8.4% Big Time Throws
  • 3.8% Turnover Worthy Throws
  • 30 sacks
  • 10.4% Drop%
  • 59.5 PFF Grade

Rodgers is at his worst when he's pressured, yet according to PFF, he has a 75.2 grade when blitzed. So it seems when a second-level defender is brought down to blitz, he does alright. But when he's getting pressure from the front 4 only, he's at his absolute worst.

Comparing his under pressure numbers against his kept clean, blitzed, and not blitzed numbers - his BTT is the highest under pressure but his TWT and drop rate are also the highest. He seems to get kind of rattled when he's getting DL pressure while still having 7 in coverage and turns into a heavy boom or bust QB as noted by his good TD/INT ratio and his CMP%.

This seems to play right into our strength right now:

If we can keep this up, we can force Rodgers into low-percentage throws and end drives early. The Packers are averaging 10.1 offensive drives per game. If we can get them off the field early and run the ball successfully to burn clock, we can win this game.
