And I’ll say the same thing for the next 50 years. 9ers or Broncos salary cap cheating?

Both I think, but I don’t think the Broncos won it the year they paid a penalty for cheating it. Young won one of his Super Bowls at 13% of the cap, but the Niners lost draft picks as punishment for going over the cap.

The rest of their roster has tiny cap hits (only 3 guys over $6mil). Next year they have 10 guys over $6mil.

But the Rams have the draft capital tied up in high draft picks I suppose. Beckham, Miller, Stafford… They were just acquired outside the draft. It is going to be such a weird team to win it this year whoever does. The Rams seem to be getting by on talent alone. McVay has been making some boneheaded decisions this postseason, and they’ve got some serious liabilities at a number of positions. The Bengals seem to be getting by on some EXCELLENT coaching, scheming and adapting.

The starting QB will still be making less than 12% against the cap.

The Bengals are going to win the SB after spending a top 5 pick on a WR. You lose either way. 🥳🥳🥳

I just can’t see the teams left and look at WR being worth a top 10 pick in any scenario if there’s a close option at a more important position. I will always be defensive talent, offensive scheme. Always. The only things that would ever interfere with that would be OT and QB. Edited January 31, 2022 by Outpost31
