Invest $100M in WR's then draft 2 more?

Sure, okay, yeah.

Umm, yeah? Have you seen this draft class at WR? Every team would be dumb to not go to that well. Depth chart still has at least one spot open too.

So you're saying they're going to invest high draft capital into the WR position and also drop $100M into it in FA? Like.........what?

Just going to let you know that baalkes history on evaluating receivers is not exactly sterling

They should have Baalke make his list, then ask Doug who he'd pound the table for and then pick from guys on neither list.

You like to take the bulk amount of money that none of these guys will amount to in the end to make your point?

You think they’re running Zay Jones or Marvin Jones as WR2 next year?

No, and that's the entire point lol

Why are you dumping this much money into mediocre (at best) WR's in a WR-heavy draft class if your plan is that neither of them will be on the roster next year?

Look, all they have to do is teach one of those WRs to punt, and another one to long snap, and it's totally worth it.

I mean, Denver had a WR play backup QB. The 49ers have one playing RB. Do you really need any non-WRs?

In fairness, it's baalke. It'll almost certainly be someone recovering from an ACL tear who isn't ready this year

You both raise completely valid points. The future of the NFL is the WR position. Just WR's literally everywhere, even OL. Sure, they can't block, but that's besides the point.

We signed two WRs lol. You think by signing two that means you don’t continue to add weapons around a young QB?

The cupboard was barren coming into the off-season besides an aging Marvin Jones who is gone after this year. Can’t invest purely draft capital and hope they are immediate impact out of the gate. Kirk/veteran was needed.

Ive already stated my dislike for Zay.
