This means NOTHING, and I wish people would stop using that as justification for him getting fired.

It has nothing to do with justifying anything, because I think it was a pointless and tragic firing, but he'll be okay.  He was nearing retirement as it was.

Sure he'll be ok, but that was the main point that folks were using when he was originally fired. I'm glad you don't feel that way.

Treating employees poorly isn't ok, regardless of how well they are compensated. Hiring Lovie was just an extra slap in the face.

Personal speaking, yeah, the pay-day is great, but I'd rather be coaching my team.

Oh, certainly...as I imagine would he as well.  But, all along I'm pretty sure he knew that the possibility was likely.  He isn't stupid.

Hiring Lovie as anything more than a DC is a slap in the face to everyone in the organization that does so. He is a failed HC.  He makes Norv Turner look like an above-average HC.

No one is using it as justification. At all. People are just saying that there are worse ways to go out.

According to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero, Eric Bieniemy’s contract with Kansas City is expiring. That means Bieniemy could re-sign with the Chiefs as their offensive coordinator or choose to depart the franchise for a new opportunity.

Head coach Andy Reid has said that Bieniemy helps call Kansas City’s offensive plays in partnership with him. And Reid has endorsed Bieniemy for a head coaching position many times. But the opportunity to be the undisputed play-caller may be appealing for Bieniemy to show just what he can do elsewhere.

K/O wants a diversity of opinion and experience on his staff, what say you as Bienemy as OC?

Would think if Bienemy was leaving KC he’d go to a team with a defensive minded heed coach to truly take control of the offense. Otherwise, the KC situation wouldn’t be all that different than the one in MN I’d assume.
