5074 DJ Moore

4772 Justin Jefferson

3410 Courtland Sutton

3342 Calvin Ridley

3316 Michael Gallup

So... He's almost the receiving leader from the 2018 draft class, too!

If JJ were to really go off in the last two games, he could even beat Moore 😳 He'll almost certainly pass Moore next season.

Other Vikings from that class still on the team include Ezra Cleveland, Cam Dantzler, DJ Wonnum, Troy Dye, KJ Osborn, Blake Brandel and James Lynch (also Jalen Reagor).

Obviously they need to get an extension done for JJ. But I also think they should explore something with Cleveland.

Cleveland is probably the only other one guaranteed to at least discuss doing an extension with soon.  The other ones would be up in the air.  I don't think it's probably in Osborn's interest to discuss an extension unless he gets a guarantee to be the #2 WR next year.

Justin Jefferson led the NFL with 128 catches and 1,809 yards, and also finished first in receiving DYAR. He had finished third in that latter department in each of his first two seasons. That makes him the 11th wideout ever with a trio of top-three finishes; only Jerry Rice (eight); Michael Irvin and Randy Moss (five); and Jordy Nelson (four) have done so more often. Stefon Diggs, who was traded to the Bills for the draft pick that was used to select Jefferson, didn't often rank highly in DYAR for the Vikings, but he has now finished second twice in three seasons in Buffalo.

Yeah no one else is really worth it with risk reward factor.

I like what Osborn has done. I’d be comfortable giving him an expanded role and a pay bump. Not sure if that’s something he’d be interested now but he’s clearly a better option than Thielen as the second receiver going forward.

Darrisaw definitely deserves it. I can understand none of the other Vikings making it, but JJ and Darrisaw definitely should.

Darrisaw is just a clone of the actual 1st team LT...he'll probably be on there eventually.  😉

The third-year player also became the first Viking to lead the NFL in receiving yards. He led the league in receptions as the third Vikings player ever, too. The first two were running back Chuck Foreman in 1975 and Cris Carter in 1994.

Leading the league in both categories is a big deal by itself, but he broke an 86-year-old record. Hall of Fame receiver and Green Bay Packers legend Don Hutson was the youngest player to lead the league in both categories in the same season in 1936 but has now been surpassed by the 23-year-old.

Back in the summer, Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson made some headlines when he said in an interview that Davante Adams was the best receiver in the NFL, but Jefferson himself would have that title after the 2022 season.

People like to talk about manifesting all the time. But Jefferson played that prediction into existence.

Jefferson finished the 2022 season leading the league with 128 catches and 1,809 yards. He set new single-season franchise records in both categories, smashing records held by Cris Carter and Randy Moss.

He had nine more catches than anybody else in the league and 99 more yards. While he finished tied at No. 11 with eight touchdown catches, Jefferson set up many more for a Vikings club that finished No. 8 in points scored in its first season under head coach Kevin O’Connell.

That’s why Justin Jefferson is PFT’s 2022 offensive player of the year.

The All-Pro team comes from 50 media voters selected by the Associated Press. This year, two players appeared on the first-team ballot of every player.

The unanimous first-team All-Pros were Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Both received 50 first-place votes from the 50 voters.
