Chenal did agility drills and bench and is now LB #1 of all time in RAS

Seems he is a real scrappy lunch pail type guy. One might say he is sneaky athletic and a real student of the game.

That Bench for Chenal is impressive, would of have the best 3 cone of any LB at the combine also, that 20 yard shuttle also would have been the best at the combine out of any LB.  So why did he not do those at the combine and really impress people?   Dolphins could be a good fit for him in the 2nd round, it is a super deep group of ILBs though, Clark is a better player than him overall, and Muma could go ahead of him and arguably has better instincts but Leo could jump him with these fine athletic numbers.

Nuts Scott Nelson ran a 4.38 40, he does not play that fast but that helps him.  That 40 for Caesar kind of sucks but he is a late round pick anyway.

As for the #1 ILB all time in RAS score, so what Raonall Smith had a 9.99, and he sucked in the NFL for being a high 2nd round pick.  Also Spencer Brown was #1 all time OT in the RAS score, he had a good rookie season and good player but is clearly not some all timer either.

Maybe but his instincts kind of suck, for a guy that athletic he should have made way more plays than he did.  Is good straight line attacking but in coverage I question him a bit which is sad because an athlete that good should not be suspect in coverage.  Curious if a team will use him as a 3/4 OLB type or then again probably not at that size, but Quay Walker could possibly be a 3/4 OLB type if asked, and is a longer taller athlete.

Creed Humphrey had a perfect RAS and was a beast as a rookie. There’s examples that go both ways.

18 TFLs and 8 sacks is not enough plays? I guess no LBs made enough then.

He has over 3 inches less of a wingspan and isn’t as fast. I think he can do it occasionally where as Micah could be a full time edge.

His arms are a half-inch shorter. And while he's not as fast, he's stronger.

Biased much?

Devin Lloyd had 22 TFLs, 7 sacks, 4 INTs, 6 passes deflected and two TDs, oh and 111 total tackles.

Chad Muma lead college football in total tackles with 142 and lead all college football with 85 solo tackles and had 3 INTs and 2 TDs.

Damone Clark was 3rd in college football with 136 total tackles and 5.5 sacks and 1 INTs.

Nakobe Dean had 10 TFLs, 6 sacks, 2 INTs 1 TD and 5 passes deflected and 2 forced fumbles.

Malcolm Rodriquez had 129 total tackles, 3 sacks, 4 passes deflected and 4 forced fumbles.

Troy Andersen had 147 total tackles, 83 solo tackles, 14 TFLs, 2 sacks, 2 INTs, 7 passes deflected.

Chenal had good pass rush success but so have many Wisconsin backers.  The issue with him in his lack of instincts and most of that would be in the passing game, he has 1 pass deflected in a three year college career playing in 25 games.  That is not exactly a well aware linebacker, sure it is not everything and Dean did not have a ton of tackles but Dean has ridiculous range and instincts on the field.  Someone as athletic as Chenal should have similar range and instincts one would think which is my point especially if his change of direction is so good.  Also he should of had way more tackles considering that athletic ability as well, one would think he could get off blocks and make plays more than he did.

Did he have a very good season?  Sure but so did many other top rated ILBs.  Will be curious where they rank in the draft and who goes where.

Can Chenal rush off the edge like Micah Parsons?

Would have been nice if Wisconsin put him out there honestly, especially with his limitations in space and coverage.  Curious if he has the pass rush moves to pull it off, does seem like a straight line guy though not sure he could bend like that on the edge.  But no way on earth is he the athlete Parsons was at Penn State or is now in the NFL, sure clock times are one thing straight line but on the field they were totally different players.  Chenal is athletic but he is not Micah Parsons athletic, Parsons is arguably one of the best LB prospects in the last 20 years.
