It's about the roster and the dearth of talent left behind from mismanaged roster under the last regime. We can use those picks to draft guys like Abram, Arnette, and Jacobs.

NYRaider
Just now, BayRaider said: Yeah Gruden and Mayock aren’t here anymore. The Patriots draft history isn't great either, lol. We can get Isaiah Wynn, N'Keal Harry, and Sony Michel.

Ziegler wasn't the GM on those picks, but you already knew that.

Either way there's no reason to trade Carr.
BayRaider
So Rich Eisen and his sources say two teams are interested in Derek Carr. Colts and Browns. Colts don’t have the draft ammo… but what if the Browns shocked the world? Two 1sts, Mayfield on his final year, a third, and fourth, for Carr and a 5th. I’m not a Baker fan, but he is a better version of Mac Jones and McDaniels did wonders with Jones and an excellent fit in McDaniels system. Probably not.. but they'll listen to the Colts and Browns offers. The QB market right now is like the Used Car market... way over inflated. If the Browns offered Mayfield, two firsts, and a third, you gotta take it. Honestly rank up all the QB's and Carr is like 13 and Baker 16... and Baker is a pretty good fit in McDaniels system just like Carr. Also draft a QB to groom as well.
ronjon1990
Extend him and focus on building the parts of the roster that are actually holding us back regardless of who the QB is. The trade package would have to be relatively absurd for me to consider it, so I don't even see it as a realistic option.
Rich7sena
The only trade partner that makes sense at this point is Seattle. They are the only team without a starting QB and with a first round pick who is seemingly still trying to be competative. Carr for #9 and 2023 first, or Carr and #86 for #9, #40, and #41. Highly doubt Seattle dealt a franchise QB to acquire assets to trade them for an inferior QB. They will pursue Watson when he's cleared legally.
