THE DUKE
So yeah, the DCEU is good and dead now. Batman and Superman out. They aren't stupid enough to try to just recast and go forward with the same "plan" leading up to another Justice League movie, are they? August4th
looks like Henry was getting tired of waiting around for MOS 2 to get made Quote An individual said Cavill walked away from the superhero role perhaps because the studio wasn’t rushing to make another installment in the “Man of Steel” franchise. In 2019, Warner Bros. has “Shazam!” and “Wonder Woman 2” being released, while 2020 will see “Birds of Prey” and “The Flash” — so the studio has a full slate for now with no room for another “Superman” installment. Moreover, the studio is setting its sights on a “Supergirl” movie, for which no one has been cast yet. MacReady
There is no DCEU. They have admitted this. None of their movies are connected. They are just making movies. A whole bunch of movies. They will not have another Justice League movie. It will be five years before they give up on making comic book movies. It will be another five years before they start again and hopefully get it right. Get ready for a lot of Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern quality movies. And before you say a movie is good, be sure to watch it twice because it probably isn't all that good.

seminoles1
Cavill's manager has denied this report. WB didn't outright deny it, but said they still have a strong relationship with Cavill.

Marvel should sign him up for a recast. He’s got the alpha in him to play Cap after Evans is done. If he looks good as a blonde. They have no plans for superman sequels, Cavill took the witcher gig which will probably last 5-8 seasons (So he'll be tied up until like 2025) depending on how well it does. This is either a negotiating tactic to force WB's hands into moving ahead with MOS2/a new deal so he can figure out the long term issues of Witcher/superman or he's actually leaving after his contract is done (Still has 1 movie left, supposedly going to be in Shazam as a cameo) Who knows at this point, WB could cave to the backlash and sign him to a new deal or they'll just double down and stay silent because their movie slate is already filled out until 2020. I would write that dude a blank check and give him whatever he needs to make man of steel 2 after seeing his impossible films

My sources say your sources are as believable as that CG'd upper lip. But yeah, the current DCEU is dead. They had no plan from the beginning and its showed. If they try to continue with the same universe, they are idiots. So sad....they are sitting on a cash cow and are too stupid to figure out how to milk it. hornbybrown
They need to admit defeat and throw in the towel on their movie universe. start planning now for a reboot in five years and get it right!!!
