He is not going to have a plus ten year runway, if he decides to not take chances at QB eventually. Obviously having multiple Masters degrees or a Doctorate or whatever he had is pretty meaningless when it comes to being a QB in the NFL. Passed on Andy Dalton but not sure he was worth a high 1st rounder, same with Colin K. And they could not get Locker or Gabbert but both of them sucked also. Yeah before they picked Ponder was Favre, Tarvaris Jackson and Joe Webb... Then McNabb, Ponder and Joe Webb.... I honestly cannot recall McNabb even playing for Minnesota but apparently started 6 games Ponder's rookie year. The rent an old QB thing got really old....
