If we’re gonna pay Mooney and Claypool this offseason though I think signing Hardman too would probably be beyond what we’d be looking to spend. " I think Kirk deserves some more credit than he gets nationally for his career and this season. Vikings are currently 7-1. He was 4th round draft pick who took starting job from a high first round pick and never gave it back to anyone. Then went to another team and has played there for many years and has not relinquished job there either. It is really hard to earn a starting job in the NFL without being a first round pick. It is harder still to keep a starting job for many years. Biggest knock on him is he 1-3 in playoffs and plays poorly on Mon. nights. Is he a top NFL QB or ever will be? Being super rich doesn't mean you are super smart. This smacks of Mayock being hired as GM. Talking a good game is not same as doing the actual job.
